March Update

Yes, I know I haven't been updating my blog much of late but you see I'm a very busy girl these days and it's tough to keep up with my writing. Heck, I'm just trying to figure out how to write my name with a crayon let alone post pictures and write about what I do all day. I promise I will do better. So what's been keeping me busy? I'm glad you asked. Here it goes.

Princess Day at the Santa Barbara Zoo
Aunt Elaine invited me ( and Mommy and Daddy) to Princess Day at the Zoo and since I am such a princess and love all things princessy I had to go. We flew up to Santa Barbara and stayed with Aunt Elaine and Uncle Mike and my cousin Ethan. With the trip to the airport and the flight it took just as long as if we drove but Daddy was a happy camper since he didn't have to drive/sit in Friday rush hour traffic on the 405 or the 101. We had a great time and Aunt Elaine had a special surprise at the zoo for us, an elephant encounter. I got to feed a real live elephant. It was really, really neat. Princess day was fun too.

A trip to Papa and Gramma's
The next weekend Daddy and I flew up to visit Papa and Gramma in Cupertino. We had some pretty lousy weather while we were there, cold and rainy but we made the best of it. Gramma took me to a small kids science center and zoo. We had a good time.

Swim Lessons
I started and ended my swim lessons this month. Mommy and Daddy thought it would be a good idea for me to learn how to swim so I got my friend Veronica to join me for swim lessons. She was a bit apprehensive and I was excited that is until we got into the water. At that point Veronica was raring to go and show me what she could do in the water and I decided that I preferred to sit on the step. I'm not sure what the swim teacher was thinking but he didn't get the memo that you can't make me do anything I don't want to do. So when he pried my hands off the step and handrail I made sure to express my displeasure so that everyone in the pool could hear. I guess I take after my Daddy that way. After a couple weeks of Mommy's embarrassment we came to an agreement that Daddy would teach me to swim. I hope he knows what he is getting himself into. We had our first lesson this past Saturday. I don't think I learned anything but we sure had lots of fun. I can't wait to go back.


Flowers, Flowers and More Flowers
I am obsessed with flowers. I love to pick flowers that aren't in people's yards. I love to smell the flowers at the store and the farmer's market. I even love to pretend pick flowers that are in my story books.

Odds and Ends

I'm trying to quit my nap but Mommy and Daddy won't let me. I don't know why, it's not like I need it. So what if i'm really cranky after 4pm when I don't nap and I yell at Daddy when he gets home from work. Just because my eyelids are half closed doesn't mean I'm tired nor does it mean anything when I go to bed at 6pm and sleep for 14 hours. That's normal, right?

I love to eat at the Counter Burger restaurant. It's my favorite, well that and Rice Things. I can sucker Daddy into taking me there at anytime. He loves it there too. I just have to ask the right way.

 I like practicing my Yoga with Mommy. I'm getting pretty good.

February catchup

Has it really been a month since I last posted. My daddy has been keeping me busy all month so I haven't kept up my writing skills. So, let see what I've been up to:

 I went to the Gym

 Had a pajama party at preschool

 Went to the dentist and had a cavity filled(I was a champ, thanks for asking)

 I was child of the day at preschool

 I had daddy push me in the stroller on a 5k run. It took us just over 30 minutes. Daddy was lagging.

 I got some flowers in Sunday school

 I found one of Aunt Megan's old baby dresses that my dolls wear...... and tried it on.

 I played at the beach.

 I got to see the Parade at Disneyland, at night, twice! These pics are of me waiting for it to begin.

 I love to go on "hikes" to pick flowers but only those that aren't in someone's yard unless they are Dandelions. Daddy says it's OK to pick those out of people's yards because they are weeds.

 Gong Gong came to visit and we had Dim Sum. What do you mean it's all gone?

I also went to a birthday party and Daddy had a SuperBowl party. Valentine's day was fun because we had it on Monday at preschool and then again on Tuesday for the real day. It's been a very busy month with Daddy home and Mommy flying all over the world. 

Preschool Show & Tell - the sleeping bag

The best day ever - showing off my mermaid sleeping bag for Show & Tell! This is the sleeping bag nana bought me about a month ago, haven't slept in my bed ever since. I insist on camping out on the floor whenever I sleep now. Very exciting stuff! ;o)

Another fun day at Disneyland

DIsney Princess

I go to wear my Cinderella dress to Disneyland this week. It was great. I wasnted to take pictures with Mickey and Minnie and anyone else we could find. Everyone who worked there thought I was Cinderella. They would say hello princess or Cinderella, they didn't know I'm "only Kana." And at the end of the day I met the real Cinderella. I can't wait to go back.
