I made sure we got up early again. I had no desire to waste my last day in paradise lounging around in bed. 5am is the ideal time to get mommy and daddy up. They are so chipper then. We decided to catch my first sunrise over Diamondhead. I was able to catch some pre-dawn rays on a towel until I stuck my hand in the sand and tried to eat it. That was the end of that.Daddy dipped my feet in the surf and I got a bit wet. It was quite shocking but fun. Alright the sun's up,it's time to head back to the hotel and hit the pool. I was ready to go swimming. Little did I know, they don't heat the pools in Hawaii. Daddy got in first and even he thought it was cold so there was no help for me. I got my legs all the way in but that was it. Polar bears wouldn't swim in that pool. I think I saw an iceberg when I got out. Mommy suggested we try swimming in the bathtub instead. It was so much better just the right temperature 96 degrees. Ahhhh, heaven. I swam for a good 15- 20 minutes. Daddy even made a slide for me. I slid down his legs and splashed down in he water.
So after a vigorous swim it was back into the Bjorn for a stroll about town. We found a wooden turtle that will be perfect on my wall. Then we met up with one of mommy's friends from Continental and her family. Sophia is 15 months old but I might be able to take her in a wrestling match. I think I may have the weight advantage.
The day was starting to wind down and mommy and daddy thought a nap might help all of us since our flight didn't leave until 10:30pm. We headed to Fort Derussy and found a nice place to set up camp and relax.
I rolled from back to front for the first time while we were there. Now I can roll front to back and back to front. I 'll be mobile in no time at all. After our naps we made a few more stops. We saw some koi at the Reef and we went back to the International Marketplace to get me a muu muu. Its a very pretty blue, so the grandmas will like it, and has yellow hibiscus on it.
By now it was getting late so we headed back to the hotel to get our bags and leave for the airport. All was well until we made it to the boarding gate. I couldn't take it any more. I lost it. Nothing mommy or daddy could do would get me to calm down and stop crying. Everyone in the gate area was thinking,"Is she going to do that for the entire flight?" Fortunately I got it together and regained my composure just before we boarded the plane. I fell asleep in mommy's arms and woke up at LAX.
I have to say that Waikiki is awesome and I can't wait to go back. Maybe next time we could see more of the island or even do some island hopping. I hope mommy and daddy will take me again. Peace, love and Aloha.
