Hermosa 5000 Race

Kana won a 3rd place metal in the 4 year old category of the Hermosa 5000 Race last weekend! (1/4 mile loop on the pier)
We're so proud of her! We're especially proud of her for running by herself (after she swore she wouldn't run without mommy holding her hand) & not giving up! She's so confident now, that she tells all her friends she can run the fastest & beat them all! That's quite a change from our lazy Kana who used to say she didn't even want to walk anywhere because it was too hard... Huge milestone!!! ;0)

Monkey Bars

Kana has finally mastered the monkey bars!!! She was frustrated trying earlier in the school year when most of the older girls in class could already go across the bars. She gave up for awhile & then started practicing & now she's a pro! We're so proud of her! She's grown so much just in the past month! She's suddenly much more coordinated! She's been having fun learning how to play hopscotch, skip, climb higher, ride her bike with confidence, run faster.... & she's been noticeably more outgoing with her classmates.

Spring Break

No luck getting on a flt to HNL for Sean's Spring Break, so daddy took Kana to Sea World instead. They had a blast.
We had a great Easter. Kana shocked us by selling all of her candy for $ to buy build a bear shoes.
This week Kana enjoyed fun filled play dates with old friends, shopping, & riding bikes with mommy.

Haircut

Kana decided to cut her own hair after we put her to bed. She used her art scissors & flashlight, making sure all the cut hair went into her little potty. It was pretty even on both sizes. She thought it was some cute layering. She said she cut it to be like her BFF, Izzy who cut a chunk of her own hair awhile ago. Kana wants to do everything bad that Izzy does. It's been a challenge. Daddy took Kana in for a new haircut the next morning. It's adorable & now all the girls at school want a fancy short cut like Kana! ;0)

Snow day

Since we missed the church family snow weekend in Big Bear, we made a trip up there for the day today. It was toasty, 65 degrees! Kana had a blast sledding & playing in the snow!
