First week of Preschool: SBAS Co-Op Manhattan Beach

Kana was "Child of the Day" on Friday. She got to ring the bell and sit on the special box with the teacher at the front of the class to strum the guitar. She looked very serious up there, but she enjoyed it. She loves to sing in class! The teacher is strict but very sweet. Kana knows 7 other kids and mom's from our parenting class last year so it's a great transition to "big girl school". She's been doing great. Our little girl is growing up. No tears or protests on the first day or anything! She loves school!

My Birthday Party

My 3rd Birthday party was a blast! The weather was perfect. I had a princess bounce house in the driveway, adorable Hello Kitty decorations, bright balloons, coloring, stickers, delicious food, and mommy even baked red velvet mini cupcakes for me! Thank you to all my friends that came to celebrate with us! ;o)

I'm a Big Girl!

I had a really tiring day at pre-school this morning, singing, painting and playing. It's the 3rd day and I love school!  I've been fine with mommy not being in the classroom with me every day. She gets to work in the classroom on Fridays.  I have so much fun with my friend Julianna. We do everything together in class. We hold hands and even go potty together.  I'm starting to sleep without a Pull-up at night and I'm doing great. No accidents yet!  I've been dry at night and nap for months.  I love wearing princess panties and being a big girl.  I'm excited to be in my new fancy booster seat in the car too. I am a pro at riding my trike now. I'm learning so many things so fast! We're working on cutting down on the major tantrums... it's a work in progress.  Skipping the occasional nap is not a good option for me.  I had a rough summer travelling, but I've been an angel this week since I'm back on a schedule at home with mommy.  All this new stuff makes a big girl tired. Mommy let me take my nap in her bed today since I've been behaving so well lately.  I stole daddy's pillow.  LOL.  Mommy took a picture of me while I was asleep........since I was sleeping on her arm.

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Kana spent the past couple weeks in Elk Grove with Nana, Gung-Gung & Kiwi while Mommy was flying & Daddy was taking care of Papa.  She enjoyed treats & swimming at Auntie Steff & Uncle Bob's new house and went on an impromptu joint birthday camping trip with Nana & Mommy.  She had a great time on her very first trip to Yosemite!  She loved sleeping in the tent, gathering pine cones & sticks, swimming in the chilly river & eating campfire s'mores.  Hiking wasn't her favorite thing.  She can be quite whiny & stubborn when she wants to be.
She's now an excellent traveler though. She was great on the long car rides and on the flight from SFO to LAX.  She can color and play with dolls all day long.  She was so excited to get home and see daddy.  She can't wait to take him camping next time. She likes to talk about how much she loves and misses daddy but she wants nothing to do with him when she actually see's him.  We're still working on that...
We forgot to mention earlier that she has been fully potty trained for awhile now, even at night!  She's been great!  Our little girl is really growing up!  She's quite the artist too. Her coloring is getting very detailed and she loves to spell her name and draw shapes. She enjoys singing at the top of her lungs and taking care of  all her babies when she plays. She's definitely a girly girl.
Today she had a great birthday!  She slept in, opened gifts, played with friends and got to choose her birthday dinner. She chose California rolls w/ ginger, salmon,  tofu & "the purple stuff" (red cabbage).  That's what all 3 years old's like, right?  Daddy surprised her with a red velvet cupcake and some Hello Kitty toys.  She's been a picky eater the past couple months, but the old Kana came out tonight when she inhaled everything on the table. ;o)  That's our good little eater.  She can't wait for her princess bounce house party in a couple weeks. She's having quite a Birthday month.

A Weekend with Ethan

I was able to spend some time with my cousin Ethan this past weekend. It was a lot of fun. On Sunday before he left I took him to play in my new favorite park.
