A Princess at Disneyland

Mommy took me to Disneyland the other day and it was one of my best trips yet. As you can see, I wore my Belle dress cause I'm a princess. I also drew a picture for Minnie. She was so excited that she put it in the window of her house. I was rather proud of that. I was the only kid there that drew her a picture too. I just missed out on sitting down with Belle because she had to go feed the Beast but she chose me to walk her across the park to get to her house. We look like twins. It wouldn't be a real trip to Disneyland without a stop at the Tiki Room and since it was so hot that day Mama got me a Dole Whip. They are my favorite and they don't make me too crazy. It was a great day at Disney and I was tuckered out so I took full advantage of my comfortable seat on the ride home.

Flying High at the Park

We got outside today for preschool. Instead of having class in our room we met at Alta Vista park for a field trip. My teacher recommended bringing a kite so Mama stopped on the way and picked one up for me. Check it out, it's a Princess kite. I didn't participate in any of the other activities other than fly my kite and doing art. I wasn't really interested in anything else but let me tell you, I ran and flew that kite for almost two hours and colored to my heart's content. You may not have heard but I love to draw and color. My favorite thing to draw is jewelry and I just learned how to draw stick figures so I'm pretty proud of that. I can also write my name now. It's not perfect but it's pretty darn good.
I gave Nana a tough time when she was here last week and I'm sure letting Mama know this week how much I missed her when she was off flying. I'm sticking to her like glue. I'm pretty much her shadow and I want to do everything she does. Mama gets a bit frustrated by this but I don't let it bother me. I just keep at it.

March Update

Yes, I know I haven't been updating my blog much of late but you see I'm a very busy girl these days and it's tough to keep up with my writing. Heck, I'm just trying to figure out how to write my name with a crayon let alone post pictures and write about what I do all day. I promise I will do better. So what's been keeping me busy? I'm glad you asked. Here it goes.

Princess Day at the Santa Barbara Zoo
Aunt Elaine invited me ( and Mommy and Daddy) to Princess Day at the Zoo and since I am such a princess and love all things princessy I had to go. We flew up to Santa Barbara and stayed with Aunt Elaine and Uncle Mike and my cousin Ethan. With the trip to the airport and the flight it took just as long as if we drove but Daddy was a happy camper since he didn't have to drive/sit in Friday rush hour traffic on the 405 or the 101. We had a great time and Aunt Elaine had a special surprise at the zoo for us, an elephant encounter. I got to feed a real live elephant. It was really, really neat. Princess day was fun too.

A trip to Papa and Gramma's
The next weekend Daddy and I flew up to visit Papa and Gramma in Cupertino. We had some pretty lousy weather while we were there, cold and rainy but we made the best of it. Gramma took me to a small kids science center and zoo. We had a good time.
On the bus to LAX

Passed  out on the ride from SFO to Cupertino

Swim Lessons
I started and ended my swim lessons this month. Mommy and Daddy thought it would be a good idea for me to learn how to swim so I got my friend Veronica to join me for swim lessons. She was a bit apprehensive and I was excited that is until we got into the water. At that point Veronica was raring to go and show me what she could do in the water and I decided that I preferred to sit on the step. I'm not sure what the swim teacher was thinking but he didn't get the memo that you can't make me do anything I don't want to do. So when he pried my hands off the step and handrail I made sure to express my displeasure so that everyone in the pool could hear. I guess I take after my Daddy that way. After a couple weeks of Mommy's embarrassment we came to an agreement that Daddy would teach me to swim. I hope he knows what he is getting himself into. We had our first lesson this past Saturday. I don't think I learned anything but we sure had lots of fun. I can't wait to go back.

Flowers, Flowers and More Flowers
I am obsessed with flowers. I love to pick flowers that aren't in people's yards. I love to smell the flowers at the store and the farmer's market. I even love to pretend pick flowers that are in my story books.

Odds and Ends
I'm trying to quit my nap but Mommy and Daddy won't let me. I don't know why, it's not like I need it. So what if i'm really cranky after 4pm when I don't nap and I yell at Daddy when he gets home from work. Just because my eyelids are half closed doesn't mean I'm tired nor does it mean anything when I go to bed at 6pm and sleep for 14 hours. That's normal, right?
I love having play-dates at my house. Here are a few photos of me and Finn in the backyard.
Playing w/ Jello. I loved it. Finn not so much.

I love me some ART!

Practicing my culinary arts.

I love to eat at the Counter Burger restaurant. It's my favorite, well that and Rice Things. I can sucker Daddy into taking me there at anytime. He loves it there too. I just have to ask the right way.

The results of no nap and a run in with my swim pants. I get a bit crazy when I'm tired.

I like practicing my Yoga with Mommy. I'm getting pretty good.
