Haircut

Kana decided to cut her own hair after we put her to bed. She used her art scissors & flashlight, making sure all the cut hair went into her little potty. It was pretty even on both sizes. She thought it was some cute layering. She said she cut it to be like her BFF, Izzy who cut a chunk of her own hair awhile ago. Kana wants to do everything bad that Izzy does. It's been a challenge. Daddy took Kana in for a new haircut the next morning. It's adorable & now all the girls at school want a fancy short cut like Kana! ;0)

Snow day

Since we missed the church family snow weekend in Big Bear, we made a trip up there for the day today. It was toasty, 65 degrees! Kana had a blast sledding & playing in the snow!

Sick sick sick

Well, we've been out sick for the month! So much for that flu shot & our healthy immune systems! We've never been this sick before!!! ;0(
Kana had the flu for about 2 weeks, with a fever & congestion, passed it on to mommy (who still can't get rid of it in week 3), then before she had completely recovered, picked up the stomach flu! We're all lucky mommy was on a trip for that. Daddy took good care of Kana & her upset tummy for 3 days. This was the first time she really puked. She's finally recovering now but staying home from school a few more days, as the flu is still rampant in her preschool class & mommy can't take any chances of catching round 3.
Kana measured 43 inches & 43 lbs at her Dr appt. Her growth has slowed, so she's steady in the 75% now.
We've been staying away from everyone, laying low at the beach all week.

February 2013

Well, Kana has the flu this week. ;0( She has a 103 fever but doesn't feel too bad so far, so we're hoping its a mild case. She has a strong immune system, loves to eat, sleeps 11-12 hrs a night, & obsessively washes her hands like her mommy, so she usually stays pretty healthy. She actually gets a little OCD on us when her friend's scatter her toys. She likes everything clean & orderly. Lol

Kana's been an angel lately. Four is a great age! She loves school this year and really thrives with the stable schedule. She loves rules, still eats well, loves playing, dancing, singing & coloring. She's sleeping well from 6:45pm-6:45am. We're so proud of our sweet Kana!!! ;0). She asked to do chores around the house to earn money for the dollar bins at Target. She learned to make her bed & brush her teeth without whining. Her first purchase was a small container of pink & red sprinkles! She was so proud that she brought them to school AND ballet class for show & tell.
