The Slide
Kana complained about her ears hurting this morning so I took her in to see the pediatrician. She had a fever over 104 degrees! They immediately gave her motrin. She told them it was delicious! She's in great spirits and they didn't find anything wrong with her besides the fever so they did some urine and blood tests. She was a champ! No crying at all. She sang her abc's when they inserted the catheter. The nurse said she is the first baby ever to not cry. She asked for stickers when they drew blood. We're so proud of her for being such a big girl! She's been pretty happy and energetic this week so it's bizzare that she wasn't feeling well. She didn't want her milk this morning, for the first time ever. We know something is off if she turns down any food! She's still growing like a weed. Her legs are getting long! She measured 30lbs and 34.5 inches. ;0)
Here are her favorite words and phrases:
kaka (her name)
kiki (her dog)
happy dude
good girl
pool boy (good boy- kiwi)
toots
bup, scuze me
own (mine)
hold! (command)
I ok (after she falls)
tumble
I stuck
mac-mac (shout out to cousin O- I love my mac n cheese, even when mommy adds healthy stuff to it.)
heel, heel, heel, stay, sit (to her stuffed animals & kids at the park)

Poor baby! Hope the fever's down, Kana.
Sounds as though you were the ideal patient.--
