The Princess and the Pea
I was bored at dinner so I thought I would see if I could put a giant pea in my nose. Guess what? I did it. What I didn't count on was getting it out. I tried to get it out with my finger but when that didn't work I told mommy and daddy I had a pea stuck in my nose. Daddy tried to get it out but I wasn't very cooperative and they decided to call Kaiser. While on hold mommy suggested they use the internet to find a solution. This is where the AT&T iPhone was very handy. Daddy quickly found a solution. Mommy plugged my open nostril and blew air in my mouth. The pea shot out of my nose like a bullet out of a gun. Mommy and daddy were so excited, mostly because they wouldn't have to spend the rest of the evening in Urgent Care at Kaiser(I've heard the UN is investigating a trip to Kaiser as a violation of the Geneva Convention), but also because my nose was pea free. I thought the whole experience was quite amusing. I laughed the entire time except when daddy was digging around my nose. Although I told my parents I would never do it again I'm not sure I was being truthful maybe I was just foolin'. Oh yeah, daddy was still on hold when the pea came out.

Daddy took me to San Onofre Beach on Saturday. My favorite part was the craft table. Daddy said if all I wanted to do was paint we could have done that at home without an hour drive each way and early in the morning.

I've been giving Mommy and Daddy (Nana too) a very tough time lately. I have these crazy mood swings where I go from a pleasant little girl to a firebreathing beast that scares away the neighbors. I'm being stubborn about my sleeping and it has me a bit off. Mommy and daddy are hoping this is just a phase of the "terrible 2's" and it will pass quickly. I don't know. We will see.
My schedule may have gone awry from all of my fun summer travels. After Vegas, I flew to Portland with Nana, then when I got home Mommy was off flying in Europe, so I was wild for Nana and Daddy. Last week I had a late night at Disneyland, started a new Summer Class, went on a bike ride to Venice, and visited my cousin in Santa Barbara. Who would want to sleep with all of this excitement going on?
Naptime has become my battleground and I'm 'Winning!' Sometimes I nap for 2-3 hours like a perfect angel and other times I just have "quiet time" in my room where I whine for awhile, then I run around and play-play-play! Who wants to waste time napping when I could be doing something cool like playing with Little People or my Dollies! So what if I get really cranky later because I'm overtired and then can't sleep at night. That's mommy's problem. I've already given daddy grey hair and mommy's should be coming soon if I have any say in it.

Vegas Wedding
Friday morning we were in the car early and on the road to Las Vegas! We had to get there in time for Auntie Steff & Bob's wedding. I was a good girl & watched parts of two movies on the drive in and then I fell asleep. So did mommy. Daddy had to stay awake to deliver his two favorite girls to the wedding. Mommy was the maid of honor and I was the flower girl. I made a new friend in the ring bearer, Steff's niece Taz. It was my first time in a limousine. I did a nice job looking adorable and dropping rose petals on the ground during the ceremony and then it was picture time. I kept myself entertained by blowing lots of bubbles.
After pictures were over it was off to dinner at a fancy french restaurant where I had fresh made pasta. I only had a couple bites though because I filled up on bread and butter earlier, so daddy happily ate the rest of my pasta, even the mushrooms! Taz and I played and danced and carried the bouquets around and pretended like we were getting married. It was late and time for me to go to bed so they cut the cake early and I got to have some. It was yummy. I was on my best behavior for my aunties big day! ;0)

Southern California Life
I skipped nap yesterday because of the excitement of Sam's B-day party with all my best friends, so I passed out as soon as we got home at 5:45pm! Woke at 8:30am for a Disneyland playdate this morning. What a fun start to the week. Mommy keeps telling me it's not normal to go to Disneyland all the time. Some kids have to travel really far & only get to go once in their lives. I don't know what she's talking about. Don't all kids have playdates at the beach & Disneyland every week? Do you mean there are actually places where it's not 69 degrees year round?!?
I don't even know how lucky I am. It's good to be a kid. ;o)
I'm registered for the Co-op Preschool in the fall. I'm pretty excited that the kids go 3x a week and the mommies get to come 1x a week. I think it will be a lot of fun!

An Evening at Disney
Mommy and Daddy took me to Disneyland yesterday afternoon. It was a complete surprise! I had so much fun on the carousel & the bear playground at CA Adventure. I was such a good girl that I got a strawberry Popsicle treat after dinner. We rode the train and It's a Small World at Disneyland too. I was so excited on the way home, I didn't think I would be able to sleep, but I conked out right away. Just like a big girl!
This was a big deal because I haven't been sleeping well the past few weeks with the excitement of being potty trained. I like to fool mommy & daddy and say I have to go potty as soon as I get into bed. I like to pull that about 4 or 5 times and really stall, so they come to visit me a lot. ;o)
